Most people try to fix their magic at the level of the intention.

They rewrite the sentence, or choose a different candle color or pick another correspondence

They make the spell more elaborate, more polished, and more “correct, but the real distortion often starts earlier.

Before the spell there is desire:

The thing in you that wants.
The pulse under the words.
The hunger beneath the polished spiritual language.
The current your magic actually follows.

If that desire is tangled with shame, or obligation, or someone else’s idea of who you are supposed to be, it affects your magic.
